The Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Act 2004
sets out the third phase of reforms to the asylum and immigration
system building on the action taken in the Immigration and Asylum
Act 1999 and the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 and
the ongoing operational improvements being achieved. It also responds
to the continuing and increasingly sophisticated abuse of the system.

is also useful in providing guidance to those who wish to apply
for entry clearance from abroad. Visa applications forms can also
