The new settlement provisions- what does it all mean?

The purpose of this course is to provide a guide to who can apply to settle in the UK and the requirements for settlement or permanent residence including more recent changes.

Course Contents

The course will look at:

• Settlement for family members of persons with limited leave to enter or remain in the UK as a refugee or beneficiary of humanitarian protection.

• Dealing with the new requirements to be free from unspent convictions.

• proposed changes in settlement for family members and migrant workers.

• requirement for ILR/Permanent Residence for:

- spouses and civil partners

- finace(e)s and proposed civil partners

- victims of domestic violance

- children of parents or a relative present and settled or being admitted for settlement in the UK

- parents, grandparents and other dependents relatives of person present and settled in th eUK

- migrant under the PBS and Work Permits

- migrants and their family under the PBS and Wrok Permits

- long residence (lawfull residence/unlawfull residence)
