Susan Cueva Susan is one of the founders of the Kanlungan Filipino Consortium and the Southeast and East Asian Centre, which are charitable organisations that provide community services among Filipinos and East and Southeast Asian Communities. She is also one of the founders of the Status Now For all Network, which campaigns for regularisation and granting of indefinite leave to remain for precarious and undocumented migrants and asylum seekers in the UK. She is also one of the community leaders, with the UBELE network, who pioneered the setting up of The Phoenix Funds, which aims to provide grants and infrastructure support to small black and minoritised grassroots organisations. Susan worked for more than 15 years as National Development Officer in UNISON’s Strategic Organising Unit with lead responsibility in organising migrant and precarious workers. Susan completed a post graduate degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines and in Economics from the London School of Economics. She joined JCWI as a trustee in 2008.
